MOH UAE exam requirements for nurses
Who is eligible to apply as a Nurse for the MOH exam?
Attending the MOH exam and registering as a nurse in Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain is open to all foreign nurses with the following:
- Bachelor’s degree of a minimum of three (3) years full-time course duration.
- A valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment.
- A minimum of current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or other, according to the scope of practice.
Assistant Nurses who hold a Diploma of Nursing for not less than 18 months can apply for DHA. Assistant Nurses and Assistant Midwives cannot work independently and shall work under a registered nurse or midwife. Nurses qualified with a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing but are qualified as ‘Assistant Nurse’ may apply for title upgrade, provided that their experience as an assistant nurse has not exceeded 5 years. UAE National graduates require the degree and university to be accredited by the Ministry of Education (MOE/NQA).
MOH UAE Nursing Exam
The exams are done on computers from test centres located in major cities in every country, managed by the Prometric company. There are 8,000 test centres in more than 160 countries.
The MOH Prometric exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions with a maximum time of 2 hours and 45 minutes allowed to solve them
MOH Nurse Exam Results
Results are usually released within 5 working days.
A Pass or Fail result is granted, which can be found online on the MOH account. The exam score will not be shared. An email will also be sent to the registered email ID with the results of the exam.
A maximum of 3 attempts is allowed to pass this exam. Failure of all 3 attempts requires evidence of further studies or training to be eligible for a fourth attempt.
